Right
Consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. The start of the period and consequences depend on the contract type and proper information.
Early performance
Early performance of a service requires a separate express request and acknowledgement of the consequences of full performance. Digital content follows a different mechanism. The variant must not be selected without final legal classification.
How to submit
A statement may be sent to the postal or email address in the legal notice. A clear decision and contract identification are sufficient. Sending within the period preserves the deadline. The public “Withdraw from contract” function required by § 356a BGB is not yet implemented and blocks publication.

Effects
Following valid withdrawal, payments are refunded no later than 14 days after receipt, normally by the same method and without extra fees. Payment for a performed portion of a service applies only where statutory conditions are met.
